With these mandatory courses, you will be on your way to finding the right job with us.

  • Safeguarding - An Introduction for Teachers and Staff 2024/25

  • Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024/25 (3 parts)

First course: Anti-Radicalisation & 'Prevent' - Awareness Training for Schools 2024/25

What the course is: This course helps all educators be vigilant and raise any concerns about any young person who might show any signs of being radicalised. It provides a lot of information on different topics to further your knowledge. By staying informed and proactive, educators can make a real difference in safeguarding the future of young people. Our recruitment company values this training as it equips educators with essential skills that are highly sought after by schools and institutions.

You will be asked questions, but do not worry, you can change your answers if you have to go back and understand the content again.

How long: 15 minutes to 45 minutes

Second course: Safeguarding - An Introduction for Teachers and Staff 2024/25

What the course is: Updated in July 2024, this course aims to introduce safeguarding to educators working in an educational setting. It provides information on the terminology used and explains the key roles of individuals.

Successful safeguarding practice is crucial in schools and all other educational settings. If practice is strong, it will not only support and protect any young person but will also safeguard staff, visitors, and the wider community. If pupils feel safe they will be ready to engage in learning and all aspects of school life.

Not only does the course provide content to read but it also shows diagrams and pictures to help better understand the information. At the end, there are questions to answer. And, if you feel like you may forget the content, don't worry! The course lets you download the information about everything covered so you can view it later.

How long: up to 50 minutes

Third course: Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024/25

In education, the most important thing is to keep children/young people safe. The Department for Education (DfE) has made safeguarding guidance for schools and colleges mandatory since 2006 and this course has been effective since 1st September 2024 for all providers of education for children and young people under 18. This ensures that educators are fully equipped with up-to-date knowledge to protect those in their care. By completing this course, professionals demonstrate their commitment to maintaining the highest safeguarding standards in education.

The three parts:

Part 1: Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024/2025 (Part 1)

The first part of the course highlights the core content very clearly with questions to answer at the end. This structured approach ensures participants fully understand key safeguarding principles before moving forward. The interactive elements make learning engaging, helping educators feel confident in applying their knowledge in real-world situations.

How long: 25 to 35 minutes

Part 2: Keeping Children Safe in Education- Annex A (Part 2)

This part is a document for you to read about Keeping Children Safe in Education. You can download the document so you can view it at any time for reminders. Once completing the reading, you are required to sign your name after reading to confirm completion. Having the document readily available allows you to revisit key information whenever necessary. Signing your name provides a clear record of your commitment to understanding and adhering to safeguarding protocols.

How long: 20 to 30 minutes

Part 3: Keeping Children Safe in Education- Part one (Part 3)

The final part focuses on why children's safety is important and highlights what school and college staff should look out for when considering the safety of children, such as abuse or neglect. This section reinforces the vital role educators play in identifying potential risks and acting promptly. By clearly outlining key warning signs, it empowers staff to be vigilant and proactive in safeguarding every child.

How long: 20 to 30 minutes
