SEND Teaching Assistants - Hemel Hempstead

We are currently seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants for a full-time role at a specialist school in the Hemel Hempstead area. This position runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start required.

Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential, and while not mandatory, SEND experience is highly desirable.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, beginning with a two-week paid trial period for successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential

• Work closely with class teachers to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.Deliver tailored support based on individual needs, both in the classroom and around the school.

• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils with SEND.

• Collaborate with other SEND Teaching Assistants and staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

Requirements:

• Available Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Able to start in January as a SEND Teaching Assistant
• Have a Child & Adult only DBS or willing to apply for one.
• Experience working with SEND children.
• Live in the Hemel Hempstead area or able to commute to the area.
