Job description
We are seeking a SEND Teacher to start working in a fantastic special needs school, located in Hillingdon. This is a full-time position working 5 days and week and to be successful for this role you must be a qualified teacher and have previous teaching experience ideally.
The School:
Educates children aged 3-15 with complex SEND needs. Pupils have a range of sensory impairment, physical challenges and medical needs. There is a small number of pupils who navigate the environment with independence (and supervision) but the vast majority are wheelchair users.
The Role:
- The role is for a full time for a SEND Class Teacher.
- You will be required to demonstrate good knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- To mark and assess pupils' work, and to record their development, progress and attainment, both at school and elsewhere, having regard to the requirements of the national curriculum
- Maintain good order, discipline and respect for others among pupils; to promote understanding of the school's rules and values; to safeguard health and safety; and to develop relationships with and between pupils conducive to optimum learning
- Plan and prepare lessons to engage the children with their learning
Requirements:
- You must have Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching is essential
- Be an excellent communicator and have great behaviour management
- Have a 'child workforce only' DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
- Be available to start ASAP!
