Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 4:00 pm
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Hampton

About the Role:

As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for leading the SEND Unit in a mainstream secondary school, ensuring that all students with learning difficulties receive the support they need. In this role, you will:

Lead the SEND team, working closely with a group of experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to provide daily support to students.
Adapt the mainstream curriculum to make it more accessible for students with learning difficulties, ensuring all students can participate and progress in their education.
Work with students with a range of SEND needs, helping them to develop their academic skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive environment.
Collaborate with senior staff to ensure the school's SEND provision meets both student needs and statutory requirements.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications: A PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are required.
Experience: Previous experience working with SEND students is essential, with a strong understanding of how to adapt the curriculum for students with learning difficulties.
Leadership: Confidence in leading a team of LSAs and working closely with other teachers to provide the best support for students.
Passion: A genuine commitment to inclusive education and helping every student succeed.
Compliance: Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced Child-Only DBS check.
Location: Ideally, candidates will reside in or near Hampton, or have reliable transportation to commute to the area.
