Assistant Headteacher

Assistant Head Teacher - Basildon - April 2025 Start

We are working with a primary school in Basildon who are looking for a assistant head teacher from April 2025. This is a full time role for the Summer term but may lead to longer term work.

Responsibilities include:

• - Develop and implement educational policies and programs
• - Oversee day-to-day school operations
• - Manage staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
• - Collaborate with teachers to enhance the educational curriculum
• - Maintain discipline and ensure a safe learning environment
• - Engage with parents, students, and the community to foster positive relationships
• - Monitor student progress and academic performance

Experience:

• - Previous experience in an educational leadership role
• - Strong understanding of educational practices and curriculum development
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• - Child only DBS on the Update Service
• - Proven ability to lead and motivate staff
• - Ability to make informed decisions for the benefit of the school community
